HushPanel noise wall reduces traffic noise

Transport for NSW (formerly Roads and Maritime Services)
The project involved the replacement of a section of noise wall on the John Renshaw interchange at Tarro, NSW.
A number of the original twin fibreglass acoustic panels along the John Renshaw interchange were weathered and warn and needed replacing. Being an extremely busy interchange with high traffic volume, Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) looked for a supplier with an effective and more robust noise wall. They required a product with a simple design so that traffic disruptions were minimised during installation.
RMS selected HushPanel, an effective noise wall invented and manufactured by Hushpak Engineering. With a sound transmission class of 25 (STC 25), HushPanel was very effective in reducing noise from vehicle traffic. Designed to ensure quick and easy installation, HushPanel was erected with minimal installation time, thereby reducing lane closures and traffic delays on John Renshaw Drive. Thirteen panels spanning over 31 meters were manufactured from Colorbond Monument and installed with aluminium frames.
HushPanel noise wall panels were quick and easy to install and provided an attractive and effective noise barrier.
